Acupuncture is a form of Chinese medicine in practice for thousands of years. The underlying principles within acupuncture involve using fine needles to stimulate points along meridians. While acupuncture is commonly used for chronic pain and acute injuries, it is beneficial for a wide array of conditions. Our practitioners determine individual patient needs and create a customized plan, being mindful of where Western medicine would be useful as well.

Acupuncture benefits a wide variety of issues including:

This place is a treasure trove of wellness technology. We went for cryo and were blown away at how well the facility is equipped to handle basic wellness and relaxation all the way to chronic pain. This should really be the model for all wellness centers. It’s that good!

In 2017, I was diagnosed with Stage 4 Tonsil/Throat cancer. My recovery has been long and arduous. After completing radiation and chemo therapies, my saliva glands and taste buds were damaged to the point that I simply could not eat and therefore received nutrition through a tube.
Over the past year, I have tried to solve my problem by exercising with a trainer and by making sixty dives in a hyperbaric chamber. I gained virtually nothing from the trainer, but at least, I built stamina with the chamber dives. At that point, I was ready to give up eating forever. Then I considered acupuncture.
For the past year, I have been a patient of Kimmi McMinn in hope that acupuncture would help to reduce my throat discomfort as a result of radiation, help me to eat, and generally help my overall recovery.
I chose to be treated by Kimmi because she had three years of experience working with patients at M.D. Anderson Cancer Hospital. After nearly four months of treatment by Kimmi, I am experiencing marked improvements in saliva generation, appetite, and the ability to eat. For me, acupuncture has become a bona fide method to relieve problems that are the aftermath of cancer treatment. I highly recommend her to anyone going through an experience similar to mine. I particularly like the no-nonsense approach that Kimmi espouses.

Two weeks ago I tried acupuncture for the first time. I’d been having terrible sleep all week and it was affecting my daily life. I was tired and grouchy and just wanted to get some good rest! I told Kimmi about my nightmares and how my lack of sleep was affecting me. While I was laying on the table with the pins in, the lights off, I felt my stomach untangle from the knot that had been there all week. I could finally take deep breaths again and felt at peace. I slept wonderfully that night and each night since then. I’ll be seeing Kimmi every two weeks and look forward to each visit. Thanks Kimmi and Evolve!
