Somatic Integration is a synthesis of somatic education and advanced bodywork that focuses on restoring the normal and integrated functioning of our body-mind. Sessions typically consist of gentle and relaxing movements that are designed to reduce chronic patterns of tension, overwork and unnecessary effort. However, more aggressive techniques that address musculoskeletal and connective tissue imbalances are also frequently used. Clients typically wear loose, comfortable clothes during their session. Somatic Integration sessions employ a combination of gentle hands-on work, movement, imagery, and attention to address and improve the inter-relationship of our mental, emotional, and bodily experience. People dealing with things like depression, anxiety, chronic neurological and musculoskeletal issues often experience significant benefits from this approach.
